Application for an Australian Passport Overseas (Form PC8)

Applicants are encouraged to complete the Application for an Australian Passport Overseas online or you can have the form posted to you by phoning the Passport Office between 0900 and 1530 hours (Monday to Friday) on 020 7887 5816. Please note there is only one operator so you are likely to experience long delays. You are strongly advised to see if your question can be answered in our FAQs section. All original documents must be included with your application. Incomplete applications will be returned to you unprocessed.

You must include the following original documents, which will be returned to you:

proof of citizenship
documents detailing any change of name
documents to confirm your identity - renewal of a minor's passport should be accompanied by a parent's identity document showing their current name and signature (e.g. passport or driver's licence)
two identical colour photographs with one signed by the Guarantor who completes Section 12 of the Australian Passport Overseas form

Please note that applicants requesting a gratis replacement of passport will still be required to pay the fees for the special delivery postage of their new and old passports.
