Visitor Visas

You are not required to complete a paper application form or send your passport to the Immigration Office in London if you are eligible to apply online.

Passport holders from over 30 countries, including all European Union nationals can apply online for tourism and business purposes. Tourist visa options are eVisitor*, ETA 976 or e676. Business visa options are eVisitor* or ETA 977. (*eVisitor visas are free of charge.)

European Union (EU) nationals intending to study for up to 3 months may do so on an eVisitor visa (this does not include medical elective study).

Clients intending to undertake medical elective study (as a doctor, dentist, nurse or paramedic) are required to undertake a medical examination including HIV,
Hepatitis B and C blood tests. EU nationals should apply for an e676 visa, non EU nationals should apply for a paper visa on form 48R (see below).

Clients who are not eligible to apply online should lodge an application at the London office. The following information will assist your application.

Tourist Visitor Visa application checklist

2	Application charge. See: Application charges (fees)
3	Valid passport, with at least one free visa page.
4	UK clients should provide a pre-paid, self addressed special delivery envelope, size C5 large enough for the return of your documents. The London office will make alternative arrangements for the return of documents for clients in Ireland.
Important Notes	If further information is required you will be contacted by an Immigration Officer.

Business Short Stay Visa application checklist

1	Completed Form 456 See: www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/456.pdf
2	Application charge. See: Application charges (fees)
3	Valid passport, with at least one free visa page.
4	A letter from your UK/Irish employer outlining intended duties in Australia.
5	Invitation letter from the Australian organisation.
6	UK clients should provide a pre-paid, self addressed special delivery envelope, size C5 large enough for the return of your documents. The London office will make alternative arrangements for the return of documents for clients in Ireland.
